The first major storm of December. The low that spawned the snowfall formed in the Gulf of Maine on the 16th. The low deepened to 988mb on the 17th as it moved across the Chignecto Isthmus into the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
This storm is noted by many weather enthusiasts to have ended prematurely.
